Hang indoor plants by a window or in the kitchen by following and download these easy How To Instructions. Even if you live in an apartment or have limited space, you can still hang plants. Look around each room and you will see unused vertical space.
To setup a single post on the kitchen counter, you will only need a small space. The Labrico brackets have a very small footprint.

The timber posts are easy to setup using Labrico 2×4 Adjuster brackets. There is a top and bottom bracket which pop on each end of the 2×4 timber post. The top bracket is tightened against the ceiling by turning the adjusting screw.
It’s held there by tension and no tools are required.
1
Choose a location for your plant hanger. Either on the kitchen bench or by a window.
Check the ceiling is flat and sturdy. Do the same for the floor.
Note: the Labrico 2×4 Adjuster brackets cannot be used on a sloped ceiling
2
Measure the length of the floor to ceiling or kitchen counter to ceiling.
Minus 3.7 inches or 95 mm from the measurement.
3
Put the upper bracket and bottom bracket on the wood post.
4
5
Check the wood post is vertical by using a spirit level.
TIP: For an online spirit level, download “Bubble Level” for free from the iphone app store.
6
Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to tighten the upper cap against the ceiling.
Ensure the timber post is sturdy and can’t rotate.
7
Following steps 1 to 6, this is what you should have set up so far on the kitchen counter.
You should have the timber post setup on the counter top.

On the timber post, mark the location for the 3 plant hangers. Drill pilot holes for each plant hanger.
For the kitchen plant hanger, I put two on one side of the timber post, one on the other.
Use your creativity here. You can choose the height of the brackets. You can design it the way you want. Play around with it.

Fasten the plant hangers to the wood post.

I think having plants hung near the window using plant hangers is a good way to add some character to your home or apartment. I think the key is having a good pot hanger to compliment a certain type of plant. The picture of the plants hung over the kitchen counter is a great. I can use this in my home for growing herbs.
In the pictures, it looks like the timber is freestanding and not against the wall?
Hi Jessica,
You’re correct. The Labrico 2×4 Adjuster can be setup freestanding, does not need to be against a wall. Freestanding is great if you want to setup your plant hanger near a certain window or on a kitchen bench.
